Bake Sale - our annual fundraiser
Each year, the Bake Sale is one of our most significant fund raising activities. Featuring a variety of delicious pies, cakes, cookies, breads, and goodies, this event is a great opportunity for our Habersham community to gather and support the Friends of Shanklin efforts at Shanklin Elementary.
The funds raised by this event go towards the programs that Friends of Shanklin sponsors at Shanklin Elementary School. This includes Experiential Learning (in-person field trips & virtual experiences), instructional resources, book giveaways, school supplies and uniforms, the new Emerging Scholars after school program, and tutoring & volunteer placement.
See you next year in November 2025!

Many thanks to everyone who supported the 2024 Friends of Shanklin Annual Bake Sale! Delectable goodies were baked, enthusiastic volunteers were on hand, and YOU, the community, came out to buy, donate, and make our fundraiser a success! Once again, your generosity is amazing--it's good to be overwhelmed by such positivity! Shanklin ES benefits from our continuing relationship and FOS extends our gratefulness for your time, efforts, and thoughtfulness.

Yummy Thank Yous! -2023
A heartfelt thank you to our community for making the 2023 FOS Bake Sale a rousing success! Your efforts and support made this fundraiser possible and so very worthwhile. The learning programs, resources, and experiences at Shanklin ES benefit from the collective giving of so many. Warm thanks to the 45 bakers extraordinaire who made an abundance of delicious items—we sold EVERYTHING, down to the last crumb (yes, even broken cookies). Thanks to the members of the FOS Board of Directors and the wonderful volunteers who helped plan & promote the event and who cheerfully set up & worked the day of the bake sale. Thanks to the buyers and multiple donors who contributed so generously. Some of you did it all! Shout outs to our Art Fest partners, to Penelope Whichello for graciously allowing us a prime location, and to Bruce Page for loaning us chairs & stands.
Hope we can count on your participation next November! Meanwhile, we’re already making plans for next year. Please feel free to provide us with feedback and suggestions—maybe a cookbook of requested recipes?
Thank you again for your involvement with Friends of Shanklin!
