“Bringing the out-of-the-classroom world to life for Shanklin students."

Every child deserves the chance to learn about the world both inside and out of the classroom. But not all children have the opportunity to explore beyond the walls of their school. That’s why Friends of Shanklin is working closely with Joseph Shanklin Elementary School to broaden the students’ life experiences and to help extend the curricula outside the school.

The Friends of Shanklin Experience Fund provides:

​

• One in-person field trip for every grade level each year

• Field trip volunteers for class trips

• Speakers in classrooms and assemblies on topics related to areas of study

• Virtual experiences for all grade levels
